Derby’s 3rd Annual Spring Into Art Set for April 28

Spring Into Art

Mark your calendar for Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the 3rd Annual Spring Into Art event at Madison Avenue Central Park, 512 E. Madison Ave.

This free, family-friendly event will feature art for sale, live music and performances, interactive art demonstrations, the Kansas Grown Farmers Market, food trucks and more.

Enjoy the following food vendors at the event: B.S. Sandwich Press, Drury Ln. Bakery & Cafe, Thai Riffic Food Truck, Crave'n Kettle Corn, Sweet Willy’s BBQ, Coco’s Kitchen (Mexican), King of Pineapples and Hot-2-Trot Gourmet Hot Dogs.  

Entertainment at the amphitheater include the following:

  • Evann McIntosh, Derby High School freshman, 11 a.m.
  • Raeann’s Fancy Footwork, Noon
  • Scott Girton, cellist, 1 p.m.
  • Tanglewood Elementary Choir, 2 p.m.
  • Cooper Elementary Choir, 2:30 p.m.
  • McConnell Air Force Base cheerleaders, 3 p.m.

The event will be held rain or shine. Inclement weather will move most activities inside The Venue.

This event is a joint effort by the City of Derby, Derby Recreation Commission, Derby Public Library, Derby Arts Council and Derby Public Schools.
