Street Projects Begin in September

Tall Tree and Triple Creek Roundabout

The City of Derby would like to let residents know about two upcoming street improvements that are taking place as part of our Capital Improvement Plan. The projects will take about two months to complete.

Tall Tree/Triple Creek Roundabout
Starting Sept. 9, the roundabout at Tall Tree Road and Triple Creek Drive will be closed for approximately 30 days for reconstruction. Message boards will be placed in the neighborhood Sept. 2 to warn motorists of the closure.

“It will be an inconvenience for some residents, and I’m sorry about that,” said Alex Lane, City Engineer. “Closure will enable us to complete this project faster and at lower cost than keeping it open during construction.”

Mill and Overlay: Buckner (Patriot Ave. to 60th St.)
The mill and overlay for Buckner from Patriot Ave. to 60th St. is set to begin as early as Sept. 11, but could be delayed due to weather. One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction during this project.
