What do you get when you combine 840,000 gallons of water, sun, slides, a lazy river, and a dumping bucket, with your friends, family and neighbors? A ton of fun at Rock River Rapids this summer!
The water park opened Monday and is open daily from 12:30 to 7 p.m. If you come to the park after 5 p.m., admission is just $5 per person. That’s a bargain!
Special Events
Dive-In movies are back! With two movies this summer – Back to the Future on June 15 and Top Gun on July 6 – you will re-live the 1980s while relaxing in the pool. Tickets are just $5. Get them early at
www.DerbyRec.com and skip the line to get into the park.
Decorate cars for the Rock River Rapids 500 on July 13 and enjoy swimming with your little ones (5 and under) during Tot Time on Saturday mornings before the park opens to the public.
Rentals, too
Looking for a place to have a birthday party this summer? The park offers two party packs during public swim times, and private pool rentals are available on the weekends from 7:45 to 9:30 p.m.
Classes
Learn how to swim at the aquatic park this summer. Swimming and diving lessons are offered on weekday mornings for all skill levels. Evening classes for adults include River Power & Pump, River Running and Aqua Zumba. (These are popular, so sign up soon!)
Rock River Rapids is a jewel of a facility. I hope you’re as proud of it as I am. Learn more about the region’s best aquatic park at
